Healthy Eating Policy
Healthy Eating Policy
At Raising Explorers Nursery, we recognise that good nutrition is essential for young children’s physical growth, brain development, and overall wellbeing. We aim to offer a varied, balanced diet and create a positive mealtime environment to support lifelong healthy eating habits.
Aims
- To provide meals and snacks that meet children’s nutritional needs.
- To educate children about food in a fun, age-appropriate way.
- To work in partnership with parents to support consistent healthy eating messages.
- To accommodate individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, religious, and cultural needs.
We ensure that all aspects of food and nutrition in the Nursery promotes the health and well-being of children. We want to promote healthy eating habits that will lead to lifelong health and well-being. We recognise that healthier children learn more effectively and we wish to have an impact on health-related issues such as obesity and poor dental health. We are committed to providing healthy and nutritious, tasty food and drinks for all children. We always practice a policy, wherein all children’s dietary needs are catered for and we are sensitive to the dietary requirement for all cultural, religious and individual preferences. Staff who handle or prepare food have up to date Food & Hygiene Certificates.
